Most people look up the holidays to plan: time off work, a trip, childcare. The council guide gets you close, but it misses the training days your school sets itself. One of those next to a break can quietly hand you a longer, cheaper window the council calendar never shows.

Why these are right

The council calendar isn't your school's calendar.

Councils publish one set of holiday dates for the whole area. But every school sets its own INSET days (about five training days a year), and those move the real first and last day off. A generic guide can put a break a day out from when your school actually breaks up.

So we verify school by school. We read each school's own published calendar, list the exact half-terms, holidays and INSET days, and show you the source and the date we checked. When a school updates its calendar, we re-check.
